Second To Last Quilt Post
I thought that once the quilt was done, the project would be over but I was wrong! I still had to find the perfect (cheapest) display apparatus and persuade my husband to hang it for me. I hunted high and low on the internet for quilt display shelves, etc. but found that for a quilt this size (75x75) I would have to spend $200-$450 for something that was intended to display a quilt. One of my mottos is, "There is always a cheaper way!" and it held true here as well. I found a sturdy 8' solid wood curtain rod, brackets, finials and drapery rings at Lowe's for about $40 total. I think it turned out great! Thanks, Matt!
This wall upstairs used to be completely bare except for a few fingerprints and an occasional booger. I think I like this much better! (View from the loft/playroom.)
And here's the view from the master bedroom. This is nice to wake up to in the morning!

What a beautiful way to display it!
It's gorgeous, could you email me: damita98@mts.net I want to know how I could go about starting one for my daughter, not sure where to start but I have a sketch of the finished quilt already. Just need to start to collect the squares now!
Hugs,
Monique
